WIGHTLINK REVEALS NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE AS SOUTHERN WATER’S KATY TAYLOR
Wightlink has announced that Southern Water’s Chief Customer Officer, Katy Taylor, will become the ferry operator’s new Chief Executive Officer in August.
After 9 years at the helm, Keith Greenfield is retiring from the company and today (Tuesday) his replacement has been confirmed.
Katy Taylor, formerly the Chief Customer and Strategy Officer for Southern Vectis parent company Go Ahead Group, and the current Chief Customer Officer at Southern Water, will join Wightlink on Monday 19th August.
Speaking about her appointment, Katy has said:
“Having visited the Isle of Wight in my previous roles over the past 12 years, I am looking forward to spending more time on the Island, both for business and pleasure.
“I am delighted to be joining the Solent’s leading ferry operator as it transforms its business to meet future challenges, including decarbonising its ships and shore facilities to meet Net Zero Targets and building greater links with the local communities.”
Outgoing CEO Keith Greenfield comments:
“Over the last nine years, we have invested in our fleet and ports and brought in England’s first hybrid energy ferry Victoria of Wight. Most importantly, I was pleased that our customers recognised the progress we have made by voting Wightlink the Best UK Ferry Operator in 2023 at the British Travel Awards.
“It has been a privilege to lead the Wightlink team and I have enjoyed every minute. The company is in good shape for the future, and it is the right time for me to hand over to Katy to achieve even more in the years to come.”
