VEHICLE FERRY SAILINGS CANCELLED OWING TO TECHNICAL ISSUE ON RED OSPREY

A technical issue on Red Osprey has forced the cancellation of 2 vehicle ferry sailings this morning (Thursday).

Island Echo understands that an issue with one of the doors on board is the reason behind the cancellations, with earlier crossings having to leave port up to 40 minutes late as a result.

The 09:00 from Southampton and the 10:30 from East Cowes have been pulled.

Earlier this morning a total of 4 Red Jet sailings were also cancelled following issues with the prop generator on Red Jet 6.

A Red Funnel spokesperson has said:

“Apologies for any inconvenience caused.”
