‘MECHANICAL ISSUE’ FORCES REVISED TIMETABLE FOR FISHBOURNE-PORTSMOUTH CAR FERRY

Wightlink have said that due to a mechanical issue on board the St Faith, they will be operating a revised timetable on their Fishbourne-Portsmouth service on both Wednesday (12th) and Thursday (13th July).

It is not yet clear which sailing times are affected as it is not stated on Wightlink’s website.

A spokesperson for the cross-Solent operator has said:

“This action is necessary to ensure that our car ferry service is operated to the highest possible standard. We sincerely apologise sincerely for any changes to your travel plans.”

In a separate issue, Wightlink have also announced that the new walkway will remain closed to foot passengers until 17:00 tomorrow (Wednesday) in order for their teams to install the new walkway shelters.

Foot passengers can use the vehicle lane during this period.
